We have a PBX - KX-NCP using the unified maintenance console. I am a PBX noobie. Panasonic PBX Model is - KX-NCP500/1000.

Installing KX-TDA Maintenance Console1.Copy the KX-TDA Maintenance Console setup file to a local drive on the PC. (Its icon is shown here, on the left.)2.Double-click the setup file to run the installer.3.Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the installation wizard.4.Click Finish.5.Click OK.Notes.To install or uninstall the software on a PC running Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP Professional, you must be logged in as a user which is in either the 'Administrators' or 'Power Users' group.When the PBX is first connected to the PC via USB, a wizard should appear and ask you to select the appropriate USB driver. Browse for and select the KX-TDA USB driver, which is copied to the local drive during installation. Starting KX-TDA Maintenance ConsoleNoteThe screenshots shown here are for reference only, and may differ from the screens displayed on your PC.1.Click ' Start' ' Programs' KX-TDA Maintenance Console' KX-TDA Maintenance Console'.2.Enter a valid programmer code ( INSTALLER, ADMIN, or USER), then click OK.NoteWhen starting KX-TDA Maintenance Console for the first time (i.e., either when the PBX is still set to the factory default settings, or after initializing the PBX), Quick Setup can be launched automatically by entering the Installer Level Programmer Code and password.
( )3.Click ' Connect' ' USB' from the menu bar.NoteTo connect to the PBX via USB, the KX-TDA USB driver must be installed on the PC, as explained above in 'Installing KX-TDA Maintenance Console'.4.Enter the password appropriate to the programmer code entered in Step 2 and click OK.NoteThe password for each programmer code is 1234 by default. ( )5.Follow the Quick Setup instructions if starting KX-TDA Maintenance Console for the first time, otherwise, proceed to the next step.6.The program menu appears. You may now begin programming the PBX.Notes.During long programming sessions, it is highly recommended that you periodically save the system data to the SD Memory Card.
